New Delhi: All India Management Association (AIMA) is all set to conduct the 4th PSU Summit on the theme 'Reimagining public sector from legacy to future's catalyst' on March 14. The one-day-long summit will take place in SCOPE Complex 7, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The summit aims to highlight the significance of PSUs and re-assess their role in a changing global order. "The virtues of the public sector have been missed during the Covid, economic and security crises of the past two years. The breakdown of the usual normal has necessitated recourse to national capacity and resilience and also responsiveness to policy priorities and social responsibilities. It has been a reminder of the need for both a key role for the public sector and a radical transformation of the way the public sector functions. It is also an opportunity to step back and reconsider the role and scope for the public sector in the changed dynamics of the world. Instead of being carried as a burden from the past, the public sector must be reimagined as the catalyst of the future technologies, industries and investment," said the AIMA.

The summit will see discussions on the role and the importance of the public sector in nation building and in the economy, issues that impact PSUs and possible solutions, cross-cultural exchange with the corporate sector, ring side view on subjects of leadership, ESG, talent development, digital transformation from industry leaders, etc.

Eminent speakers from PSUs to participate in the summit

The summit will be chaired by Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Director HR, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. In addition, it will also see participation from other eminent speakers from different PSUs like KS Shetty, Executive Director, HR, HPCL, VK Singh, Director HR, Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd and Nitin Chugh, Deputy Managing Director & Head,
Digital Banking & Transformation, State Bank of India.

AIMA has said that around 300 professionals from across the PSU sector are expected to attend the summit.

The All India Management Association, which is organising the summit, is the apex body for management in India with over 38,000 members and close to 6,000 corporate/institutional members through 67 Local Management Associations affiliated to it.
