New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for the appointment of Amar Singh (IRS) as Private Secretary to the Union Minister Bhupender Yadav in the Ministry of Labour & Employment at the level of Deputy Secretary.

According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Singh has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest. Singh is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2010-batch.

Bhupender Yadav is an Indian politician from Rajasthan. He is currently Minister of Labour and Employment and Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, since joining Narendra Modi government in the reshuffle of July 2021. He is the national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
