Delhi-NCR received light-to-medium rain on Monday. This brought down the maximum temperature to 24 degrees Celsius, which is 14 degrees below the season's average
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Delhi registered a maximum temperature of 24°C on Monday, May 1. Sunday's 28.7°C was the lowest temperature in April since 2015. The maximum temperature recorded on April 4, 2015 was 26°C
The commuters also faced hardship while booking cabs and ride fares fluctuated. Delhi Traffic Police kept on issuing 'Traffic Alert' whole day
The atmosphere at Jantar Mantar was worth seeing as protesters and the police ran to avoid the sudden rains in Delhi. Even rains could not bring the two under the same shelter as the two groups took cover under big tarpaulin sheets to avoid the rain
There are chances of rain for the next three days due to which the temperature may drop further. However, after May 4, due to sunshine, the weather will clear up and the temperature will rise (File)
There may be hailstorms in some places of UP till May 2. For the last 24 hours it has been raining heavily in many areas in the hills, including Shimla, due to which the temperature has dropped by two-to-four degrees Celsius
