Ashok Kumar (IDSE), who was recommended for the Central deputation by the Ministry of Defence, has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Ministry of Power

New Delhi: Ashok Kumar (IDSE) is set be Director of the Ministry of Power. He was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Defence. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Ministry of Power, Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier. Kumar is an Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE) officer of 1995-batch. He is currently serving as Deputy Secretary in Department of Defence under the Ministry of Defence.

Ministry of Power

The Ministry of Power is ministry is charged with overseeing electricity production and infrastructure development, including generation, transmission, and delivery, as well as maintenance projects.
