Bhole Amit Gunvant (ICAS) appointed as OSD to Sanjay Dhotre

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Bhole Amit Gunvant (ICAS) as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Communications and Electronics and Information Technology, Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre, in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. According to an order issued on July 14, Bhole has been appointed at the Deputy Secretary-level for a period of four years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Gunvant is an Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) officer of 2010 batch. He is currently serving as Additional Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology.

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is an executive agency of the government. It was carved out of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on July 16, 2016, as a standalone ministerial agency responsible for IT policy, strategy and development of the electronics industry. Currently, Ravi Shankar Prasad is the Minister for MeitY.
