Cmde (Retd) Hari PR assumes additional charge as Director (Shipbuilding) of GRSE

New Delhi: Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Ltd's Director (Personnel) Cmde (Retd) Hari PR has assumed additional charge of the post of Director (Shipbuilding) on Tuesday. In an official order issued on February 28, the government had entrusted Hari with the additional charge of GRSE's Director (Shipbuilding) post. "Accordingly, Cmde Hari P R, IN (Retd.), Director (Personnel) has taken over the additional charge of Director (Shipbuilding) of the Company from 01 Mar 2022," said GRSE in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.

"In terms of Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, we would like to inform that pursuance to Ministry of Defence letter No. 2(14)/2015/GRSE/D(NS) dated 28 Feb 22, the Government has entrusted the additional charge of the post of Director (Shipbuilding), GRSE to Cmde Hari PR, IN (Retd.), Director (Personnel) of the Company for a period of 01 month w.e.f. 01.03.2022 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest," said GRSE. 

Cmde Hari has also been recommended for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of GRSE by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on February 26. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a Master's Degree in Defence and Strategic Studies. He is also an alumnus of the Defence Services Staff College and the Naval War College. He has over 28 years of commissioned service in the Indian Navy with varied experience onboard warships, Naval Repair Organisations and various staff appointments. He has been serving as Director (Personnel) of GRSE since October 21, 2019.
