New Delhi: Skill Development Training under CER initiative of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) is carried for 95 days for 23 local candidates at the Centre of Excellence in Maritime and Shipbuilding (CEMS)-Visakhapatnam. A valedictory function was held at CEMS, Visakhapatnam on Friday.

RINL's CGM (HR)-CS G Gandhi and CEMS's CEO K Sethu Madhavan interacted with the trainees, handed over the training completion certificates.

RINL has extended financial support of Rs 8.44 Lakhs under corporate environmental responsibility (CER) initiative for skill development program on CNC operator turning at The Centre of Excellence in Maritime and Shipbuilding (CEMS)-Visakhapatnam. 23 local candidates in and around Visakhapatnam belonging to economically weaker sections possessing ITI/ Diploma (Mechanical) qualification were given on-the-job skill enhancement training for a period of 3 months. The 95 days training is completed on March 31.

The trainees expressed their gratitude to RINL. Other officials from CSR department of RINL and CEMS, Visakhapatnam are also present in the function.
