New Delhi: DK Madan (IOFS) has assumed the charge of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power. Prior to this, he was working as Director (Chemical) in the Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers.

According to an earlier order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Madam has been appointed to the post for a combined deputation tenure of seven years up to June 28, 2024, or until further order, whichever is earlier.

Madan is an Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) officer of the 1994 batch. He has worked for around 21 years in three major defence production units of Ordinance Factory Board (OFC), Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence located in different parts of the country and looked after administration, production, planning, procurement. He had also been on the board of PSUs- HOCL, HIL & HFL as "Government Nominee Director."

Madan is an Engineering Graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and he has also done Post Graduation in Finance Management. Recently, he has undergone the prestigious training course in 'National Security & Strategy" from National Defense College (NDC), New Delhi.
