Dr Amol Shinde (ICLS) appointed as PS to MoS for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare

New Delhi: The government has approved the proposal for the appointment of Dr Amol Bhagwan Shinde (ICLS) as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Kailash Choudhary in the Department of Agricultural Research and Education at the level of Under Secretary. He has been appointed on the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister of until further orders, whichever is earlier. Shinde is an Indian Corporate Law Service (ICLS) officer of 2010 batch. He is currently serving as Additional Private Secretary to MoS in the same department.

Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE)

The Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) was established in the Ministry of Agriculture in December 1973. The Department coordinates and promotes agricultural research and education in the country. It provides the necessary government linkages for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the premier research organisation for co-ordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture including horticulture, fisheries and animal sciences in the entire country.
