GAIL is looking for Director (Projects); apply before August 3

GAIL Recruitment 2020: GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, has released a job notification, through the PESB portal for the engagement of Director (Projects). Eligible candidates can apply for the job before August 8. The post is vacant since May 22.

Director (Projects) in GAIL is a full-time functional director and a member of the board of directors of the company. He/She reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of GAIL. He/She has overall responsibility for projects planning & execution and operations and maintenance of all installations spread across the country. He is also responsible for various support functions such as contracting and procurement, telecommunications & telemetry and business information system (BIS).

Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000/- 3,40,000 /- (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 10,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 10,000 crore or more. Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies
(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualifications

The applicant should be an engineering graduate with a good academic record from a recognised university or institute.

Experience

The applicant should have adequate experience at a senior level in Project Management in a large organization of repute.
Applicants with experience in dealing with the hydrocarbon industry would have added advantage.
