New Delhi/Vasco: To commemorate the 75 Years of India’s Independence, GSL and other DPSUs are organising various theme-based programs in the three-month cycle, leading to August 15, 2022, i.e. 75th Independence Day. Accordingly, in the ongoing first cycle, GSL is organising a week-long program from April 30 to May 6, being held through the virtual mode.
GSL's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Cmde BB Nagpal virtually flagged off this week-long program focussing on our 75-year long journey as a nation and recommitting ourselves to achieve the visionary goals set by our leadership. This series of webinars and digital exhibitions focus on skill development initiatives, apprentice training and quality improvement in our supply chain. GSL has also included one specialized program for onboarding the maximum number of our vendors on GeM portal, which will serve the purpose of enhanced indigenization through local vendors.
During the first session NSDC Chiranjiv Guha and Col. Santosh Kumar had given detailed information about various schemes and initiatives of NSDC & NSQF to Officials, Principals of ITIs and students.
The government has launched ‘Bharat ka Amrit Mahotsav,' the countdown to India’s 75th year of Independence with programs to commemorate India’s achievement in last 75 years and the way ahead to become “Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
