New Delhi: Have you wondered about what has been the fate of Hitler’s kin after his death? Because of the atrocities committed by the German dictator, the life of the people who survived him has been tough, to say the least. A report in Daily Mail said that one of the last relatives of Hitler was left heartbroken after his Jewish girlfriend refused to marry him on discovering his family lineage.
For years, the last surviving relatives of Hitler, his great-nephews — Alexander, Brian and Louis Stuart-Houston — had lived their life hiding their relationship with the Nazi dictator. The older of the three, Alexander, gave his first interview to the press in 10 years recently. Rubbishing rumours that the three brothers remained ‘unmarried and childless’ to end Hitler’s lineage, Alexander revealed that one of his brothers had plans to marry his Jewish girlfriend but the relationship broke after she found out that he was Hitler’s relative.
Contradicting an earlier statement that he gave to British journalist David Gardner in 2002 where he said that his brother ‘may have made an agreement’ but he is not aware of the same, Alexander, this time, denied that any pact had been made between the brothers. The brother’s father, William Hitler, is believed to be Hitler’s nephew. Their grandfather Alois Hitler was the half-brother of Hitler. He married an Irishwoman, who he met in Dublin while working as a waiter.
