New Delhi: The Miniratna PSU, Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has announced the appointment of three Independent Directors on its Board. As per three separate orders issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), the Board of Director of HUDCO have approved the appointments of Dr Ravindra Kumar Ray, Sabitha Bojan and Dr Siyaram Singh as the Independent Director on the Board of the company with effect from November 22, for a period of three years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This information has been shared by the HUDCO in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Tuesday.

As per the information given by HUDCO to the stock exchanges, none of the above-mentioned Independent Directors holds any shares in the company and is not inter-se related to other directors of the company. They are also not debarred from holding the office of the director by virtue of any SEBI order or any other such authority.

The brief profiles of newly appointed Independent Directors are-

Dr Ravindra Kumar Ray

Dr Ravindra Kumar Ray is an Educationist, Political and Social Worker. He did his graduation from St. Columba's College, Hazaribag and a Master's degree from Ranchi University and PhD from Vinoba Bhave University, Jharkhand. He was a Member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha, prior to this he was a Member of Jharkhand Assembly (Two terms) and also held the position as Cabinet Minister in the Government of Jharkhand.

Sabitha Bojan

Sabitha Bojan is MA in Sociology and an MBA in Human Resources and completed her Diploma in Co-operation. She has more than 15 years of experience in the corporate, education and management field with key positions as state and regional head in various organizations. Her leadership skill was a diamond in those organizations. She is a passionate poet and writer with the "Tamizh Chemmal" state Award 2019 by the government of Tamilnadu. She is a social activist and has carried out numerous welfare activities for youth, women and tribal upliftment in coordination with several NGO's.

Dr Siyaram Singh

Dr Siyaram Singh is MBBS and MD (General Medicine) and hails from Bihar. He is an eminent medical professional in the healthfulness of Barh's, Bihar and is active in social activities for the past 15 years. He holds the position of Former Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad and Secretary Patna Medical College.
