India gets its very first fly-dining restaurant in Bengaluru

You will be taken up by a crane to the platform that can only accommodate 22 guests, including the chef, waiter and an entertainer in the middle of this fly-dining restaurant
New Delhi: India became the 66th country in the world to host a fly-dining restaurant in Bengaluru near Nagawara Lake in Hebbal, at a height of 60 feet above the ground. The restaurant has been started by Bengaluru-based adventure sports company called Jumpking India, that began working on the project three years ago. But the idea was first conceived five years ago, taking inspiration from many countries abroad.

What’s on offer?

The location of this fly-dining restaurant provides the best view of the city, as it is placed near the Nagawara Lake, close to Hebbal. Guests are taken up by a crane to the platform. In addition, the platform rotates 360 degrees to provide a picturesque view of the city. Keeping in mind the safety of guests, this experience will not be available to some people, including pregnant women and children below 13 years of age. Also, the maximum weight of a person that it can carry is 150 Kg. Carrying bags are not allowed but cell phones are. The platform can come down if anyone wants to use a restroom. Two dining options are available — one is a half-an-hour mocktail session that begins from 5 pm and the other is the dinner session that begins from 7 pm.

How much do you have to pay to experience it?

The cost for two is Rs 8,000. The mocktail session costs Rs 3,999 per head and the dinner session costs Rs 6,999 per head. Click here to read more stories like this.
