IRCON CMD SK Chaudhary gets ‘Eminent Engineer Award 2020’

New Delhi: IRCON's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) SK Chaudhary has been recognised as 'Eminent Engineer' for the year 2020 by the Institution of Engineers (India). The institute presented the award to Chaudhary for his significant contribution to the advancement and application of the practice of engineering in India. He has been presented this award on the occasion of the 53rd Engineers' Day on December 23. The theme of the event was 'Engineers for a Self-Reliant India.' The recognition comes a month after Chaudhary was presented with Honoris Causa Degree of D. Litt. by KIIT on November 21.

Chaudhary is a Civil Engineering Graduate from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE). He passed from DCE in the year 1982 and then obtained a Master's degree in Management & System from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He has also done a PG Diploma in Alternate Dispute Resolution from the Indian Institute of Law. His professional experience spans around 38 years. Prior to joining IRCON, he was working with NBCC (India) Limited.

Awards & achievements

Chaudhary is a recipient of a number of awards namely: Exemplary Leader of the Year by World HRD Congress, ET Now Business Leader of the year Award 2020, Governance Now 7th PSU leadership Award 2020, ET Now, CEO with HR orientation Award 2019, Outstanding Global Leadership Award by Institute of Economic Studies 2019. He has also been recognised as distinguished alumni from DCE-DTU Alumni Association of Delhi College of Engineering in the year 2017.
