New Delhi: Jugal Kumar Borah is set to be the next Director (Techncal/P&P) of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on December 30. He is currently serving as General Manager in the North Eastern Coalfields Limited (NECL).

Borah has been recommended for the post of Director (Techncal/P&P) of MCL from a list of eight candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were two candidates from MCL, two candidates from NLC India Limited and one each from Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Ltd (CMPDIL), Western Coalfields Limited, Coal India Limited and South Eastern Coalfields Ltd.

As Director (Technical/P&P) of MCL, Borah will be a member of the Board of Directors of MCL and will report to Chairman-cum-Managing Director. He will responsible for planning and implementation of projects and auxiliary units and for corporate planning of the subsidiary as a whole.
