New Delhi: Kalasani Mohan Reddy is set to be the next Director (Planning & Projects) of NLC India Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Reddy is currently serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Ltd (NUPPL), a joint venture between NLC India Ltd and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd.

Reddy has been recommended for the post of Director (Planning & Projects) of NLC India Limited from a list of nine candidates who were appeared & interviewed by the PESB selection panel. There were a total of six candidates, who were on the list, were from NLC India Ltd and one each from THDC India Limited, NTPC Limited and Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. The selection meeting was held on Thursday afternoon.

Reddy is an engineering graduate in Mining Engineering from the Institution of Engineers (India) Kolkata. He has also done an MBA in Finance from Kakatiya University, Warangal. He has over three decades of experience in the mining sector. Prior to joining NLC India Limited in 2013, he was working in Singareni Collieries Company Ltd for over 24 years.
