KIOCL Recruitments 2022: Steel PSU KIOCL Limited has released a job notification for the engagement of the Director (Production & Projects) through the PESB portal. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before August 17. The post will fall vacant on February 1, 2023. V Bhaskara Reddy is the current Director (Production & Projects) of KIOCL.

Director (Production & Projects) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director. He/ she is responsible for the production operations of the company at its two manufacturing units i.e. Pellet Plant Unit and Blast Furnace Unit at Mangalore and is also responsible for execution of projects and development of Devdhari Iron Ore Mine.

Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000 – Rs 3,40,000 (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation is 60 years

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of the vacancy.

Employment Status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 2,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in the company where the annual turnover is *Rs 2,000 crore or more.

Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Educational Qualifications

The applicant should be an engineering graduate preferably in mining or mechanical engineering with good academic record from a recognised university or institution.

Applicants with MBA or PGDM qualifications will have added advantage.

Work Experience

The applicant should have at least 5 years of cumulative experience and exposure in product development or production or project planning in the Iron and Steel sector during the last 10 years in an organisation of repute.

Note (i) Applicants from Central Government or All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Joint Secretary in the Government of India or carrying an equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.

(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in the Navy or Air Force on the date of application.

Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises or Private Sector should be working at Board level position or at least a post of the level immediately below the Board level on the date of application.

Duration of the appointment

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up-to the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
