MECL posts job vacancy for Director (Technical); apply before June 30

New Delhi: Mining PSU Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL) has posted a job vacancy through the PESB portal for the engagement of the Director (Technical). Eligible and interested candidates can apply before June 30. The post will fall vacant on March 1, 2023. Arvind Kumar is the current Director (Technical) of the company.

Director (Technical) is a member on the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, planning and execution of various projects being undertaken by MECL. He is also responsible for achieving the physical-financial targets and the completion of projects in a time-bound and cost-effective manner.

Pay scale: Rs 1,60,000 – Rs 2,90,000 (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 40 years and age of superannuation is 60 years

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of the vacancy.

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 1,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 1,000 crore or more.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Educational Qualifications

The applicant should be an Engineering graduate in mining or mechanical engineering or a post-graduate in Geology or Applied Geology or Geophysics from a recognised university or institute with a good academic record.

Work Experience

The applicant should have technical or operational experience or exposure for at least five years during the last 10 years at a senior level of management in mining or drilling or exploration projects or contract and construction or tech. consultancy service.

Note: (i) Applicants from Central Government or All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Director in Government of India or carrying an equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.

(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Brigadier in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy or Air Force on the date of application.

Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises or Private Sector should be working at Board level position or at least a post of the level immediately below the Board level on the date of application.

Duration of the appointment

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up-to-the-date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
