Bhubaneswar: Union Minister for Coal and Mines Pralhad Joshi visited National state-run Navratna PSU, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) on Friday.
In the aftermath of Cyclone 'Fani', NALCO is taking up massive plantation drive. The Union Mines Minister also planted a Rudraksha plant sapling at NALCO headquarters, lending his support to mass plantation measures of NALCO. On the occasion Member of Parliament Aparajita Sarangi, NALCO's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Dr Tapan Kumar Chand, Ministry of Mines's Joint Secretary Anil Kumar Nayak and other senior officials of NALCO were also present.
While appreciating NALCO, he underlined the dedication and hard work of the employees and encouraged them to further strengthen the Company in its stellar performance.
NALCO is a Navratna group CPSE having integrated and diversified operations in mining, metal and power under Ministry of Mines. Presently, the government holds 52 percent equity of NALCO.
