NBCC signs MoU with OHPC for various civil works in Odisha

New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Odisha Hydropower Corporation Limited (OHPC) for the execution of various construction and development works in Odisha. The MoU has been signed by OHPC’s Director (Operations) Manoranjan Biswal and NBCC’s Assistant General Manager (Engineering) Rakesh Narayan Sinha on behalf of their respective organisation in presence of senior officers from both organisations.

The company has informed that it has secured a work order for engagement as Project Management Consultant (PMC) for undertaking various civil works of OHPC Limited. The total value of the project is Rs 206 crore and NBCC will act as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the project.

OHPC is a state PSU under the government of Odisha. The PSU has been set up by the government of Odisha for the development of water resources in the state and elsewhere in the country while augmenting hydropower generating capacity by setting up new hydropower projects.

NBCC (India) Limited, formerly National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited, is a blue-chip Navratna enterprise and a PSU which trades publicly in the market. NBCC acquired a 100 percent stake in Miniratna hospital consultancy firm Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation Limited (HSCC) from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on November 6, 2018. The organisation acquired over 51 percent stake in Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), a PSU under the Steel Ministry in 2017.
