NEEPCO recruitment 2019: North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Power, has posted a job through Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) for the post of Director (Technical) and the last date to apply for the job is January 13, 2020. The post is vacant since September 1, 2019.

The Director (Technical) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/She assists the Chairman and Managing Director in all technical matters. He/She has dual role in expanding the business horizon of the company and overseeing the overall performance with respect to the entire gamut of technical activities covering project Survey and Investigation (S&I), Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Environment & Forest Clearances, construction and operation & maintenance of Hydro or Gas based power plants, commercials, regulatory and grid code compliances, etc.

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:- (a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE); (b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services; (c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 2000 crore or (d) The private sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 2000 crore or above. Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualifications

The applicant should be an engineering graduate preferably in Civil or Mechanical or Electrical with a good academic record from a recognised university or institution. Applicants holding MBA or postgraduate diploma in Management will have an added advantage.

Experience

The applicant should possess adequate technical and operational experience covering the areas of project survey and investigation, detailed project reports (DPRs), environment and forest clearances, construction, operation & maintenance of the Hydro or Gas based power plants, commercials, regulatory and grid code compliances etc. at a senior level in a large the organisation of repute, out of which at least five years during the last 10 years should have been in construction, planning, design & engineering, operation & maintenance of Hydro Electric Projects or Thermal Projects (above 100 MW).
