New Delhi: Tata Power on Wednesday announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Tata Power Solar Systems Limited has received a letter of award (LoA) to build 210 MWp of solar PV projects for NTPC Limited. The total order value of the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects is approximately Rs 686 crore. The commissioning date for NTPC is set for November 2022. This information has been shared by TATA Power in regulatory filings to the stock exchange on Wednesday.
With this addition, the order pipeline of Tata Power Solar stands at approximately 2.8 GW with an approximate value of INR 13,000 crore, thereby cementing its position as India’s leading solar EPC player.
The scope of work includes land, transmission, engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of the solar projects. The NTPC project site is located in Gujarat.
Speaking on the achievement, Tata Power's Managing Director & CEO Dr Praveer Sinha said, “We are pleased to announce the new win of this large solar EPC contract from NTPC.
