New Delhi: NTPC and Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide financial aid of Rs. 35 lakhs for the purchase of a mobile clinic van. DMCH has been providing health care services to the rural and suburban areas of Malerkotla, Ahmedgarh, and Dehlon in Punjab catering to around one million people in this region.

"Through mobile clinic van, DMCH aspires to provide good quality healthcare services to the women of these rural areas on their doorstep", said NTPC.

"The mobile clinic van shall be fitted with IEC (Information, Education & Communication) system & screening, consultation, and examination facilities", said NTPC.

NTPC to support the lives of women with help of DMCH

"World-class healthcare facilities to women should be the key focus area of our society, as this has been a neglected area in past. This MoU is one of the many steps taken by NTPC to support in improvement of healthcare facilities in India. We believe that with the expertise of DMCH, we will be able to positively impact the lives of women in these rural areas." said S N Tripathi, RED (Hydro), NTPC.

The MoU was signed in the presence of S N Tripathi, RED (Hydro), NTPC, Uttam Lal, CGM (CSR/R&R), NTPC and Dr. Ashwani Chaudhary, Medical Superintendent, Prof. & Head, Neurosurgery, DMCH.
