Improving it’s no.2 ranking from Platts Global Company rankings 2017 list NTPC has made a remarkable progress in 2018 to grab the top slot

New Delhi: There is some good news for NTPC Limited coming this Thursday. India’s largest power utility has been ranked globally No.1 Power Producer and Trader, both, in the Platts Global Company rankings 2018 in IPP category. In general, the company ranks 73rd in the overall Platts Global energy company rankings list 2018.

"NTPC group has an installed capacity of 53651 MW and contributed 23% of total electricity generated in India with 16% share of Country's total installed capacity,” the company said in a press release. The S&P Global Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings calculates and ranks publicly traded companies based on their asset worth, revenues, profits and return on invested capital. What is considered about companies listed in the Platts Top 250 is that they have distinguished themselves through their remarkable performance and the outstanding efforts and dedication of their team in the previous year.
