New Delhi: Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC) has signed an MoU with International Copper Association Limited (ICA) India, for providing skill training to youths from all segments of society. ICA is like an arm for India and is responsible for enhancing the quality of the trainers and training and candidates. The MoU has been signed in a blended meeting by PSSC's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ravi P Singh and ICA India's Managing Director Mayur Karmakar in New Delhi.

The MoU seeks to jointly address the opportunities for skilling the upcoming talented youths from all segments of society along with improving the quality of trainers or training. It will also promote the activities of PSSC by doing publicity. Singh called this collaboration 'historic' and 'path setting' for all others. While Karmakar said such initiatives are the need of the hour.

ICA India, a not for profit, non-commercial organisation, works to promote electrical safety, energy efficiency, power quality and sustainability. However, PSSC has been actively engaged in the skill training and certification to the youth for the power industry and pursuing an ambitious target of over four million workforces over the next decade.

On this occasion, Ravi P Singh said, "the achievements of an organisation are the results of the combined effort of each individual."

Karmakar assured PSSC of providing all the possible support.
