New Delhi: Miniratns Railway PSU Railtel Corporation of India (Railtel) on Wednesday said that it has received the work order worth Rs 86.90 crore from Konkan Railway Corporation. The order is for the design, supply, installation, wiring, testing & commissioning of the integrated communication system.

The work is to be completed within a period of 18 months.

In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Wednesday, the PSU said, "This is to inform that RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has received work order from Konkan Railway Corporation Limited for Design, Supply, Installation, Wiring, Testing & Commissioning of Integrated Communication System at a total cost of Rs 86.90 crore. The work is to be completed within a period of 18 months."

RailTel is a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways. It is an ICT provider and one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country owning a Pan-India optic fibre network on exclusive Right of Way (RoW) along Railway track.
