RSP continues to provide cooked food packets to poor and needy during lockdown period

New Delhi: Steel Authority of India's (SAIL) Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) is continuing to provide cooked food to the poor and needy staying in various sectors and slums of the Industrial township of Rourkela in support of "Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana."

Around 13,000 food packets prepared under an extremely hygienic environment of the Rourkela Club kitchen has been so far distributed in areas like Kalyani Basti, Durga Chowk Basti, Kharia Bahal Basti, Balangir Basti, Red field, Golghar, Kabi Samratpalli, Narayanpalli, Jagannathpalli, Sarala Basti, Luhakera Basti, Dahiposh Basti, Hamirpur, Uttam Basti, Sital Nagar, Phulbariu Basti and some other areas in the sectors.

A team of employees of RSP are distributing the packets. It is worth mentioning here that, during the countrywide lockdown announced to prevent and contain the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, SAIL,s Rourkela Steel Plant has come forward to extend every possible help and support in fighting the tough battle.
