SK Gorai gets additional charge as CMD of KIOCL Limited

New Delhi: SK Gorai has been given additional charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of KIOCL Limited on Thursday. He is currently serving as Director (Finance) in the same organisation. The Ministry of Steel in an order issued on June 30, has assigned him additional responsibility upon MV Subba Rao's superannuation on June 30. He has been given an additional charge of CMD post with effect from July 1, 2021, for a period of three months or till the joining of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is the earliest. This information has been shared by the steel PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange on Thursday.

Gorai is a Chartered Accountant and holds PGDBM (Finance & Strategy) from MDI, Gurgaon. He has 33 years of diversified, multi-cultural, multi-country, multi-industry, inter-functional experience in eleven large CPSUs, Private Corps and MNCs. His multi-functional exposure includes finance & accounts, human resources, information technology, law and board affairs. His expertise is particularly deep in project appraisal, project financing, cost estimation and project controlling, fundraising and management, taxation in MNC and large companies both in the private as well as public sectors.

Prior to joining KIOCL Limited on November 11, 2016, he held the position of Director in TCIL Bina Toll Road Limited and TCIL Lakhnadone Toll Road Ltd.
