New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Srikar K Reddy (IFS) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce under the Ministry of Finance. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post for an overall tenure of three years up to June 22, 2023, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Reddy is an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer 2001-batch. He is currently serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Department of Commerce at the Joint Secretary level. Hailing from Kondagadapa Mandal, Mothkur Nalgonda District, he completed his MBBS from Kakatiya University Medical College in 1996. As IFS, he is counted among the dynamic officials of his batch. He had served in the Indian embassy in Berlin, Germany. He also served in External Affairs Ministry at New Delhi, where he was in charge of the Pakistan desk which holds great significance. Currently, he was serving in the Department of Commerce.
