Vinay Kumar Sharma appointed as Additional Director of IRCTC

New Delhi: Vinay Kumar Sharma has been appointed as Additional Director on the Board of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, with effect from November 9, IRCTC said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Friday. "… it is to inform that in accordance with Articles of Association of the company and applicable provisions of Companies Act, 2013, the Board of Directors of IRCTC has approved the appointment of Vinay Kumar Sharma as Additional Director (Non-Official Independent Director) w.e.f. November 09, 2021," the company told the bourses.

Vinay Kumar Sharma (aged 43 years) is a social activist who holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Master's degree in Economics and Social Work from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAW), Indore. He possesses diverse and wide-ranging experience in the areas of management, finance, sales, marketing, corporate governance and planning. He has served as Regional Head Credit in IndusInd Bank (2002-2008) and Regional Relationship Manager -Head Project Accounts in ICICI Bank Limited (2008-2012). He is presently active in the field of organic farming.
