CSR: WCL provides Rs 15.38 crores for Oxygen Plant at Nagpur & Chandrapur

New Delhi/Nagpur: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has given Rs 15.38 crores from its corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund for the Oxygen plant at Nagpur and Chandrapur. Maharashtra is one of those states that is battling with a huge number of corona positive patients in the second wave of Covid-19. WCL's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Manoj Kumar, Director (Personnel) Dr Sanjay Kumar and Director (Finance) RP Shukla handed over the cheque of Rs 9.82 crores to Ravindra Thakre Collector of Nagpur on Tuesday in his chamber.

On the occasion WCL's HoD (Welfare & CSR) AK Singh was also present on the occasion. Earlier, a cheque of 2.05 crores was given to the District Magistrate. Similarly, General Managers of the Wani and Chandrapur areas Uday Kaole & B Ramarao handed over a cheque for Rs 3.5 crores from CSR Fund to Ajay Gulhane Collector of Chandrapur District on May 3.

It is to be mentioned here that the arrangement of Oxygen will be made in GMC, Mayo Hospital & AIIMS at Nagpur & in Chandrapur District and people will get some relief with this initiative of WCL in the present crisis of Oxygen.
