World Environment Day celebrations at KIOCL

Mangaluru: KIOCL Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of steel, celebrated 'World Environment Day' in its true spirit at all its units. While celebrating Environment Day on Friday at Pellet Plant Unit, Mangaluru, KIOCL's CMD MV Subba Rao emphasized on the theme of World Environment Day 2020 as Biodiversity – 'Time for Nature'. This year theme focuses on providing essential infrastructure that supports life on earth and human development.

CMD and other senior officers planted saplings in the Pellet Plant premises. While addressing the gathering stressed on the need for healthy living and highlighted the role of environment that plays an important role in our day to day life. It provides us air, food, etc. It is correctly said that 'the difference between animals and humans is that animals change themselves for the environment but humans change the environment for themselves'.

At the corporate office, Bengaluru, KIOCL's Director (Finance) SK Gorai emphasized that is an auspicious day to encourage people worldwide to save and protect our mother earth from environmental challenges, we are facing today.

Director (Commercial), Director (Production & Project) and other senior officers participated in the celebration by planting saplings in the premises of the corporate office.
