AAI clinches all India Badminton Tournament trophy

New Delhi: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has become the Champion of the All India Inter-Institutional Badminton Championship 2022 held at Kanaklata Indoor Stadium, Guwahati from July 2 to July 3. The Championship was organised by the Badminton Association of India and hosted by Assam Badminton Association.

Airports Authority of India defeated Reserve Bank of India 3-0 in the mixed team event finals and was declared Champion of 2022. AAI defeated India Post Badminton Team in the quarter-finals and Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) 3-0 in the semi-finals to enter the finals of the mixed team event.

A total of nine teams participated in the all-India mixed team event namely the Reserve bank of India, Department of Atomic Energy, Food Corporation of India, Air Force Sports Control Board, BSNL Sports Board, LIC of India, Employees State Insurance Corporation, Airports Authority of India and India Post Badminton Team.

Later AAI players and team members were felicitated by AAI's Regional Executive Director Sanmukh Jugani wherein who congratulated all the members and wished them the best for future endeavours.
