AAI cycles the messages of equality and cleanliness

Guwahati: A thematic cycling ride was organised by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) Guwahati on Sunday. The ride has been organised with the objective to promote social awareness and equality and cleanliness. In the ride, AAI employees, Defence personals, BSF Jawans, CISF, NDRF, Assam Police, Indian Railways, members of Decathalon and local individuals have participated. The ride was began from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati at around 6.30 am.

The Sunday cycling rally was led by the AAI's regional Executive Director Sanjeev Jindal. The ride was scheduled for a stretch of about 25 K.M from Guwahati Airport to Palashbari locality which was successfully completed by 25 participants on the day. During the cycling ride, small gifts were distributed to the girl child on the way apart from cleanliness and keeping self-fit. The participants also interacted with the local community and asked them to help the needy one and keeping the surroundings clean. While speaking Jindal said that we are trying to promote a social message to the local community that their equality is more important.

He urged all the stakeholders to come together and spared the message far and long. "On every such cycling ride and related occasions, we will be coming to similar places to encourage people living in and around the Airport for gender and social equality with spreading happiness message," he added. A WhatsApp group is created for this thematic cycling with a social message, where stakeholders or local individuals can join while choosing the theme of spreading equality and cleanliness. They need to approach AAI officials to be a part of it.
