AAI’s Member (HR) Anuj Aggarwal passes away, he was 58

Airports Authority of India’s (AAI) Member (HR) Anuj Aggarwal passed away on Thursday morning due to COVID-19 related complications. He was 58 year old.

New Delhi: Airports Authority of India's (AAI) Member (HR) Anuj Aggarwal is no more. He took his last breath Thursday morning at Max Hospital in New Delhi. He died due to COVID related complications. On April 21 only he was admitted to the hospital after he complained of breathlessness. Two times CMD in-charge Aggarwal was very popular among his AAI colleagues and everyone was shocked to hear the news of his untimely demise. He served the aviation industry for more than three decades. 

Aggarwal was an Engineering Graduate from BITS Pilani and had completed numerous professional courses including Leadership, Management, Development and Corporate Directorship. He had held the responsibility of Chairman of AAI, a couple of times.

Adored amongst his colleagues for his down to earth nature, Aggarwal had more than 32 years of rich experience in the field of Airport Engineering, Operations Management and development of select airports through PPP under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India including management of HR functions at Regions, airports and at Corporate level. He significantly and successfully demonstrated his ability to handle a large task force in a disciplined and organized manner and developing, monitoring and motivating teams to bring desired results thereby deriving synergy at various levels.

Prior to joining AAI in 1989, Aggarwal had worked with NBCC, a Public Sector Enterprise in Engineering and Project Management, for more than 3 years. He had more than three decades of rich experience in the field of aviation, to be specific airport Engineering, Operations Management and development of select airports through PPP under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Civil Aviation including management of HR functions at Regions, airports and at Corporate level and has successfully demonstrated his ability to handle large taskforce in a disciplined and organized manner and developing, monitoring and motivating teams to bring desired results thereby deriving synergy at various levels.

He was recently elected as a member of the executive board, SCOPE.
