Guwahati: A free health check-up camp was organised at Airports Authority of India's (AAI) Sports Complex in North-Eastern Region's Guwahati on Tuesday at the AAI residential colony. The free health camp was conducted by Down Town Hospital, Guwahati, for all employees and their family members.

The health camp was inaugurated by Sanjeev Jindal, Regional Executive Director (North East Region) in the presence of senior officials and doctors of Down Town Hospital. Speaking on the occasion, Jindal said that regular health check-ups are necessary for all but it becomes all the more necessary for employees who are working in shifts and are posted on operational duties.

They are prone to stress conditions and health check-up camps could provide them with some sense of relief. "We often consider that employees working at office, in general, do not draw health issues, but we are wrong, it can occur at any stage and at any time. The need of the hour is to keep ourselves fit and healthy with regular medical check-up," Jindal said.

The facilities offered at the medical health check-up camp included consultations on general medicine, cardiology, diabetology, urology, gynaecology, pulmonology and dietary advice for keeping healthy. Free tests were also available on the occasion for, including random blood sugar, ECG, Lipid profile and blood pressure checkups.
