Guwahati: The Airports Authority of India (AAI), Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, at north-eastern region has issued a caution notice regarding fake job advertisement on its name. AAI also advised job aspirants to be aware such as fake job advertisement. In a press release, AAI said that it has noticed various fake advertisements promising jobs to aspirants on its name. Desperate candidates are reaching out to AAI with complaints ranging from fake vacancy advertisements to fraudulent appointment letters for which they have paid money. It has been noticed that fraudulent recruitment advertisements and job offers are being made by some unscrupulous elements forging AAI's name and logo and trying to deceive general public and job aspirants by false promises of securing jobs in AAI. AAI-NER's regional Executive Director Sanjeev Jindal said that they had been receiving the complaints from various stations and advise all the individual concerned to file an official complaint with the local police station. AAI's official website https://www.aai.aero has also published a notice for caution regarding "fraudulent recruitment" on the homepage to inform all job aspirants to exercise caution and not to be misled by false advertisements in name of AAI.

In the press release, AAI added that all the vacancies and recruitment in AAI are notified through AAI's website / Employment News/ Rojgar Samachar and leading newspapers. Apply link for vacancies is available only on AAI's official website not on any other website. The only application fee is payable at the time of online registration and no other payments are sought at any stages of recruitment. We have also recommended people that in case of any vacancy, they should verify from Employment News and AAI`s official website before applying", Jindal added. AAI has clarified that they have not authorised any agency or website to either advertise job vacancies or to accept any application for recruitment for AAI's vacancies.
