Amit Sharma, IRAS (2011), has been appointed as Director in the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, Delhi. Sharma, who was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Railways, will serve for a period of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He has been directed to assume charge at the earliest and will be relieved from his current duties accordingly.

Shalini Mahajan, IES (2013), has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the National Recruitment Agency under the Department of Personnel & Training. Recommended by the Department of Economic Affairs, Mahajan will serve a four-year tenure. Her appointment is aimed at bolstering the ongoing reforms and digital transformation efforts in recruitment processes for central government positions.

Sumeet Singh, IRTS (2008), will assume the role of Director in the Capacity Building Commission under the Department of Personnel & Training, also located in Delhi. His five-year appointment, based on recommendation from the Ministry of Railways, is a key move in the government’s capacity-building agenda aimed at enhancing the skillsets and performance of civil servants across departments.

The Department of Personnel & Training has instructed the respective ministries to relieve the officers immediately to ensure timely joining. As per the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) guidelines, any delay beyond three weeks from the date of the appointment order could lead to debarment from the Central Staffing Scheme.
