New Delhi: The Government of India has approved the premature repatriation of Abhishek Kumar, Indian Forest Service (IFoS: Gujarat cadre, 2013 batch), who was serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation, to his parent cadre on personal grounds.

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on October 10, the proposal for his repatriation was moved by the Ministry of Cooperation and has been approved by the Competent Authority. The order specifies that the repatriation will be with the provision of an "extended cooling-off" period.

Kumar has been directed to be relieved of his duties immediately and report to his parent cadre.
