New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has announced the appointment of Abhishek Kumar, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2015 batch (Customs & Indirect Taxes), as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles. The appointment is under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Kumar’s central deputation has been recommended by the Department of Revenue. He will serve in the Ministry of Textiles for a tenure of four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

The DoPT has directed that Kumar be relieved of his current duties immediately, with instructions to take up the new assignment without delay.
