ACC appointments: Govt approves the appointment of six bureaucrats

In a bureaucratic reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of six IAS officers in different Ministries and Departments

New Delhi: In a bureaucratic reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of six IAS officers in different Ministries and Departments. Here is the list:

  1. Rajesh Bhushan (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, in view of the impending demitting of office by the present incumbent, Preeti Sudan, who is currently serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, on July 31. Bhushan is a 1987-batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre and is serving as Officer on Special Duty in the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
  2. Ajay Tirkey (lAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Land Resources under the Ministry of Rural Development in view of the superannuation of Ruolkhumlien Buhril (lAS) on July 31. Tirkey is a 1987-batch IAS officer and is currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
  3. Ram Mohan Mishra (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Women and Child Development vice Ajay Tirkey (lAS) upon his appointment as Secretary, Department of Land Resources. Mishra is a 1987-batch IAS officer of Assam cadre. He is currently serving as Secretary in the National Commission for Scheduled Castes under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
  4. Sushil Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the National Commission for Scheduled Castes under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in the rank and pay of Secretary to the government vice Ram Mohan Mishra (lAS) upon his appointment as Secretary in the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Kumar is a 1987-batch officer of Tripura cadre and is currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Mines.

Further, the ACC has also approved the assignment of the additional charge of the post of Secretary in the Ministry of Mines to Anil Kumar Jain (lAS) till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Jain is a 1986-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre and currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.
