ACC appointments: Govt clears appointments of 43 bureaucrats

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the appointments/premature repatriation of as many as 43 bureaucrats on Wednesday

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments/ premature repatriation of 43 bureaucrats on Wednesday. Here is the full list:

1. Geetha Meetina (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. She has been appointed to the post in place of Rajbir S Panwar (IFoS) for an overall tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Meetina is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre.

2. Rajbir S Panwar (IFoS) has been appointed as Managing Director (JS Level) of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. He has been appointed to the post in place of Sanjeev K Chadha (IFoS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on April 30, 2023, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Panwar is a 1991-batch IFoS officer of Gujarat cadre.

3. Satyendra Singh (IFoS) has been appointed as Managing Director (JS level) of the National Horticulture Board (NHB) under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. He has been appointed to the post in place of B Srinivas (IAS), for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or up to the date of his superannuation on February 28, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Singh is 1 1996-batch IFoS officer of Assam cadre.

4. Chaitanya Murti (IFoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Bio-Technology. He has been appointed to the post in place of Chandra Prakash Goyal (IFoS) for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

5. Srikant Nagulapalli (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. He has been appointed to the post in place of Pankaj Agrawal (IAS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Nagulapalli is a 1998-batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre.

6. Puneet Kansal (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. He has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto April 26, 2023, extendable for additional two years up to April 26, 2025 subject to availability of cadre clearance or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Kansal is a 1990-batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre.

7. M Balaji (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to September 15, 2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He has been appointed to the post in place of S Suresh Kumar (IAS).

8. Krishan Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce. He has been appointed to the with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Kumar is a 2002-batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre.

9. Inderdeep Singh Dhariwal (IA&AS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Dhariwal has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on July 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He has been appointed to the post in place of Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh.

10. Harpreet Singh (IPoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region. Singh has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on December 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Singh is an IPoS officer of 1992-batch. He has been appointed to the post in place of Indevar Pandey (IAS).

11. Rajesh Singh (IPoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Singh is an IPoS officer of 1998-batch. He has been appointed to the post in place of Jyoti Arora (IAS).

12. Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu (IAS) has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (JS level) of MyGov under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Sudhanshu is a 1997-batch IAS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre. He has been appointed to the post in place of Abhishek Singh (IAS).

13. Abhishek Singh (IAS) has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. He has been appointed to the post in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary in place of M Srinivas Rao (IAS) by temporarily upgrading the post to Additional Secretary level. The officer will continue to hold the additional charge of the post of Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Digital India Corporation. Singh is a 1995-batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre.

14. Vivek Chandra Verma (IOFS) has been appointed as Deputy Director General (JS level) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Headquarters, New Delhi under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Verma is an IOFS officer of 1991-batch.

15. Rajeev Sharma (IFoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Sharma is an IFoS officer of 1998-batch. He has been appointed to the post in place of Tarika Roy (IRAS).

16. Rajesh Kumar Yadav (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. He has been appointed to the post in place of Prabodh Seth (IRS) for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

17. Amit Singh Negi (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Expenditure. He has been appointed to the post in place of Rajeev Ranjan (IAS) for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Negi is a 1999-batch IAS officer of Uttrakhand cadre.

18. Manoj Sahay (IA&AS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Department of Expenditure. Sahay has been appointed to post with effect the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to January 29, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Sahay is an IA&AS officer of 1994-batch. He has been appointed to the post in place of Meera Swarup.

19. Pankaj Sharma (ICAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services. He has been appointed to the post in place of Amit Agrawal (IAS) for a combined tenure of seven years up to December 31, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

20. Sanoj K Jha (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. He has been appointed to the post for a combined tenure of seven years up to April 2, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Sanoj is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Sikkim cadre. He has been appointed to the post in place of Reema Prakash (IA&AS).

21. Ghayas Uddin Ahmed (IDAS) has been appointed as Financial Adviser (JS level) in the National Health Authority under the Department of Health & Family Welfare. He has been appointed to the post in place of Geetali Tare (IA&AS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on October 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

22. R Ramakrishnan (IAS) has been appointed as Senior Deputy Director General (Admn.) (JS level) in the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under the Department of Health Research. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on February 28, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Ramakrishnan is a 1998-batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre. He has been appointed to the post in place of GSG Ayyangar (IAS).

23. Vijay Mittal (IOFS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Mittal is an IOFS officer of 1991-batch. He has been appointed to the post in place of Jeetendra Singh (IRSEE).

24. Harsh Gupta (IAS) has been appointed as Project Director (JS level) in National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP), National Disaster Management Authority under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Gupta has been appointed to the post in place of Pradeep Kumar (IAS), with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Gupta is a 1997-batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre.

25. G Madhumita Das (IPoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Labour & Employment. She has been appointed to the post in place of Sibani Swain (IES) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Das is an IPoS officer of 1996-batch.

26. Tiakala Lynda Yaden (IP&TA&FS) has been appointed as Financial Commissioner (JS level) in Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment. She has been appointed to the post in place of Sandhya Shukla (IA&AS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

27. Lalit Bohra (IRTS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE). He has been appointed to the post in place of Bhanu Pratap Yadav (IA&AS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Bohra is an IRTS officer of 1998-batch.

28. Navin Agarwal (IRPS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Office of Lokpal under the Department of Personnel & Training. He has been appointed to the post in place of Dilip Kumar (IAS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

29. Vinakshi Gupta (IDAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary (JS level) in Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) under the Department of Personnel & Training. He has been appointed to the post in place of RK Sinha (IDAS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

30. Esha Srivastava (IFS) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (JS level) in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been appointed to the post in place of BN Reddy (IFS) for a period with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for an overall tenure of five years up to March 19, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

31. Raman Chopra (IRS) has been appointed as Director (JS level) in National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Chopra is a 1993-batch IRS officer. He has been appointed to the post in place of Manoj Sahay (IA&AS).

32. Smriti Sharan (IPoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Rural Development. She has been appointed to the post in place of Ashish Kumar Goel (IAS) for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

33. Mahendra Kumar Gupta (IRPS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research. Gupta has been appointed to the post in place of KR Vaidheeswaran (CSS) for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

34. Krishna Kumar Dwivedi (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Dwivedi has been appointed to the post in place of Juthika Patankar (IAS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

35. Subramanyam Manchikanti (IRS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Space. He has been appointed to the post for an overall tenure of five years up to March 19, 2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, against a newly created post.

36. Kunal (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Sports. He has been appointed to the post in place of Atul Singh (IPS) for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The ACC has also approved the premature repatriation of the Department of Sports' Joint Secretary Atul Singh (IPS) to his parent cadre.

37. Abhijit Narendra (IRTS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel. He has been appointed to the post in place of Puneet Kansal (IAS) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on September 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

38. Anand Singh (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). He has been appointed to the post in place of Navneet Gupta (IA&AS) for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

39. Asit Gopal (IFoS) has been appointed as Commissioner (JS level) of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), National Educational Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) (JS level) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. He has been appointed to the post for an overall tenure of five years up to August 25, 2024 with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

40. Richa Misra (IDAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. She has been appointed to the post in place of Jagmohan Gupta (IRAS), with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto March 25, 2023, that is extendable up to the period spent in NDC course or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

41. Satya Prakash Vashishth (IFoS) has been appointed as Executive Director (Admin) (JS level) in the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) under the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation. He has been appointed to the post in place of Rajiv Kishore (IRPS), with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on June 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

42. Bhaskar Dasgupta (CSS) has been appointed as Executive Director (Finance) (JS level) in the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) under the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He has been appointed to the post in place of Rozy Agarwal (IDAS).

43. Indra Mallo (IAS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Women & Child Development. She has been appointed to the post in place of Ashish Srivastava (IAS), with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
