Here is the new list of Joint Secretaries appointed by ACC

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the number of appointments of officers at joint Secretary and Joint Secretary equivalent level

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the number of appointments of officers at joint Secretary and Joint Secretary equivalent level on Monday. Here is the new list of Joint Secretaries appointed by ACC:

Shyam Bhagat Negi (IPS), a 1990-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Coal. He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With his new assignment, he will replace Rajesh K Sinha (IAS).

Aditi Das Raout (ITS), an Indian Trade Service (ITS) officer of 1986-batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Women and Child Development. She has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of her assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure upto her superannuation on November 30, 2023, or until further order, whichever is earlier. 

G Jayanti (CSS), a Central Secretariat Service (CSS) officer, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Space, Bengaluru. She has been appointed to the post for a period of with effect from the date of her assumption of the charge of the post, till the date of her superannuation, on March 31, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With her new assignment, she will replace CM Sane (IA&AS).

Kesang Yangzom Sherpa (IRS), an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 1995-batch, has been appointed as Member (Joint Secretary level) of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under the Department of School Education & Literacy. She has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of her assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Rekha Yadav (IRPS), an Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) service officer of 1995-batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. She has been appointed to the post for an overall tenure of five years up to March 12, 2024, with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With her new assignment, she will replace Sanjeev K Patjoshi (IPS).

Amitabh Kumar (IRS), an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) (C&CE) of 1992-batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce. He has been appointed to the post for a period of five years, with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With his new assignment, he will replace Bhupinder S Bhalla (IAS).

Anurag Bajpai (IFoS), an Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer of 1994-batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production. He has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the post, or until further orders whichever is earlier. With his new assignment, Bajpai will replace Anil K Nayak (IFoS).

Asheesh Sharma (IAS), a 1997-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Maharastra cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). He has been appointed to the post for a combined tenure of seven years up to February 24, 2023, with effect from the date of taking over the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Ashish Chatterjee (IAS), a 2002-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Assam cadre, has been appointed as Senior Directing Staff (SDC, Civil) at National Defence College, under the Department of Defence. He has been appointed to the post for a period of seven years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post up to June 1, 2021, or until further order whichever is earlier. With his new assignment, he will replace Abhay Tripathi (IAS).

Chetan Prakash Jain (IRPS), an Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) officer of 1995-batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. He has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for the tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With his new assignment, Jain will replace Sumita Sarkar (IRAS).

M Angamuthu (IAS), a 2002-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Assam cadre, has been appointed as Chairman of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under the Department of Commerce. He has been appointed to the post for a period of five years, with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With his new assignment, Angamuthu will replace PK Borthakur (IAS).

M Maheshwar Rao (IAS), a 1995-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Karnataka cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Department of Space, Bengaluru. He has been appointed to the post for the tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With his new assignment, he will replace Anoop Srivastava (IDAS).

Mahmood Ahmed (IP&TAFS), an Indian P&T Finance & Accounts Service (IP&TAFS) officer of 1993-batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. He has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With his new appointment, he will replace Abhay Damle.

Rahul Singh (IAS), a 1996-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Bihar cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). He has been appointed to the post for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Sanjay Lohiya (IAS), a 1994-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines. He has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. With his new charge, he will replace Anil K Nayak (IOFS).

Sudhendu Jyoti Sinha (IRTS), an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of 1993-batch, has been appointed as Adviser in the NITI Aayog. He has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
