New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of two senior IPS officers as Joint Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday.
Kuldeep Dwivedi (IPS), presently serving as DIG, CBI, has been appointed as Joint Director of CBI. He is a 2005 batch IPS officer of Jharkhand cadre. His tenure will continue till January 17, 2026, completing a five-year deputation term, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Similarly, C Venkata Subba Reddy, IPS (Assam-Meghalaya cadre, 2007 batch), DIG, CBI, has also been appointed as Joint Director, CBI. His tenure will extend till October 29, 2029, completing a five-year deputation, or until further orders.
The appointments were cleared following a proposal moved by the DoPT, as per the official order.
