New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of as many as 35 officers at the level of Joint Secretary and equivalent across various ministries, departments, and organisations of the Government of India on Saturday. The postings, cleared on September 13, cover a wide range of portfolios including finance, coal, culture, home affairs, environment, infrastructure, and social development.
According to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the appointments have been made for a fixed tenure, until the officers’ date of superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The list of officers appointed is as follows:
Nidhi Pandey (IInfoS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy. She is an Indian Information Service (IInfoS) officer of 1991-batch and has been appointed to the post, by temporarily downgrading a vacant post of Additional Secretary, till July 19, 2027. She replaces Sushma Taishete (CSS).
Ashim Kumar Modi (IRS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor (JS & FA) in the Ministry of Coal. He is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2000-batch. He has been appointed to the post in place of Nirupama Kotru (IRS, 1992 for five years ).from the date of assumption of the charge
Meenakshi Jolly (CSS) has been appointed as Additional DG (JS level) at National Museum under the Ministry of Culture, till superannuation on September 30, 2027, vice Ashish Goyal, IAS (1996).
Avita Sinha (IRPS, 2003) has been appointed as Senior Directing Staff at National Defence College (NDC), Department of Defence, for five years, vice Vijay Nehra, IAS (2001).
Aishvarya Singh (IAS, SK:2008) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, till February 5, 2026, vice Jitendra Srivastava, IAS (2000).
Amit Singla (IAS, UT:2003) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, for five years, vice Surbhi Jain (IES, 2001).
Tarun Kumar Pithode (IAS, MP:2009) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, for five years up to September 8, 2029, vice Tanmay Kumar (IAS, 1993).
Ekroop Caur (IAS, KN:2001) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Expenditure, for five years, vice Sanjay Prasad, IRS (1990).
Krishna Kant Pathak (IAS, RJ:2001) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, for five years, vice Tina Soni (IAS, 2007).
Shalini Pandit (IAS, OD:2001) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, for five years, vice Sameer Shukla (IAS, 2005).
Arvind Khare (IDAS, 2000) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, for five years, vice Abhijit Sinha (IAS, 2000).
Madhup Vyas (IAS, UT:2000) has been appointed as Executive Director of National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Ministry of Home Affairs, till March 27, 2030, vice Rajendra Ratnoo (IAS, 2001).
Chetan PS Rao (IRS, 2002) has been appointed as Member (Finance) at Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, for five years, vice Vijay Kumar Singh (ICAS, 1995).
Garima Singh (CSS) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, for five years, vice Vrunda Manohar Desai (IRS, 2003).
Suresh Kumar (CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Justice, till May 31, 2027, vice Gaurav Masaldan (IRS, 1998).
Ajay Gupta (IRSS, 1993) and Phool Chand Prasad (CSS) have been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Legal Affairs, till August 31, 2026 and February 28, 2027 respectively.
Archana Mittal (IRSME, 1996) has been appointed as Adviser (JS level) in NITI Aayog, for five years, vice Nidhi Chhibber (IAS, 1994).
Nidhi Pandey (IAS, MH:2001) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Official Language, for five years, vice Meenakshi Jolly (CSS).
Sushil Kumar Patel (IAS, NL:2009) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training, for five years up to August 20, 2029.
Dinesh Kumar Verma (CSS) has been appointed as Secretary (JS level) in the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), DoPT, till February 28, 2029, vice Nita Kejrewal (CSS).
Chhavi Bhardwaj (IAS, MP:2008) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the DoPT, with additional charge as CEO, Karmayogi Bharat, till July 17, 2027.
Satyaprakash T.L. (IAS, HY:2002) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals, for five years, vice Ravindra Pratap Singh (IAS, 2007).
Aman Sharma (IPoS, 2002) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals, till December 31, 2028.
Shreeshail Malge (IRAS, 2002) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & FA in the Department of Posts, till February 26, 2029, vice Partha Sarathi Das (IA&AS, 1994).
Chetna Nand Singh (IRSEE, 1994) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, for five years, vice Amit Kumar Ghosh (IAS, 1994).
Nishant Verma (IFoS, 1999) has been appointed as Joint Secretary at Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Department of Science & Technology, for five years.
Harikishore S. (IAS, KL:2008) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, for five years, vice B Suman (IAS, 1996).
Rajamurugan Muthukalathi (IPS, 1996) has been appointed as Managing Director of TRIFED under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, till November 30, 2029.
V Lalithalakshmi (IAS, WB:2008) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Vice President’s Secretariat, till February 28, 2027.
Shilpa Sachin Shinde (IAS, UT:2006) has been appointed as CMD (JS level) of WAPCOS, under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, for five years.
Sumant Narain (IA&AS, 2000) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Water Resources, for five years up to January 2, 2028.
