ACC approves appointments of these IAS officers as Secretary & other role

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by the Prime Minister has approved the appointments of a number of IAS officers at the Secretary level

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by the Prime Minister has approved the appointments of a number of bureaucrats at the Secretary level on Wednesday.

Pradip Kumar Tripathi (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Tripathi is a 1987-batch IAS officer of 1987-batch. He is currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Steel.

Rajiv Bansal (IAS) has been appointed as (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) in place of Pradeep Singh Kharola (IAS), upon his superannuation on September 30.  Bansal is a 1989-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. He is currently serving as Chairman & Managing Director of Air India Limited (AIL).

Govind Mohan (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Culture. Mohan is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Sikkim cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Home under the Ministry of Home Affairs. He has been appointed to the post in place of Raghvendra Singh (IAS) upon completion of his term on September 30.

K Rajaraman (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications in the Ministry of Communications. Rajaraman is a 1989-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance. He has been appointed to the post in place of Anshu Prakash (IAS) upon his superannuation on September 30.

Anurag Jain (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Jain is a 1989-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh care. He is currently serving as Vice Chairman of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

Ansuli Arya (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Arya is a 1989-batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre. She is currently serving as Administrator in the Universal Service Obligation Fund under the Department of Telecommunications.

Rajesh Aggarwal (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Aggarwal is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

Lok Ranjan (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region. Ranjan is a 1989-batch IAS officer Tripura cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

Devendra Kumar Singh (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation. Singh is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

Sunil Barthwal (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Labour & Employment. Barthwal is a 1989-batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre. He is currently serving as Central Provident Fund Commissioner in the Employees Provident Fund Organization

Sujata Chaturvedi (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Sports under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Chaturvedi is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. He has been appointed to the post in place of Ravi Mittal (IAS) upon his superannuation on September 30.

K Sanjay Murthy (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. Murthy is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. He has been appointed to the post in place of Amit Khare (IAS), upon his superannuation on September 30.

The ACC has also approved in-situ up-gradation of the following officers to the level of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India, as a measure personal to them, by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them:

S Kishore (IAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of Commerce under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Kishore is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce.

V Srinivas (IAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Srinivas is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

Manoj Joshi (IAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Joshi is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the same Ministry.

Vivek Joshi (IAS) has been appointed as Registrar General and Census Commissioner under the Ministry of Home Affairs in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government. Joshi is a 1989-batch IAS officer of HY cadre.

Chandan Sinha (IAS) has been appointed as Director General in the National Archives of India under the Ministry of Culture in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. Sinha is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre.

Katikithala Srinivas (IAS) has been appointed as Director in the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. Shastri is a 1989-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre.  

Anita Praveen (IAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications under the Ministry of Communications. Praveen is a 1989-batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. She is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the same Department.

Rajeev Ranjan (IAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance. Ranjan is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the same Department.

Arun Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Director General in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. Kumar is a 1989-batch IAS officer of HY cadre.

Anuradha Prasad (IDAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Inter-State Council Secretariat under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Anuradha is a 1986-batch IDAS officer. She is currently serving as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Employment. She has been appointed to the post in place of Sanjeev Gupta (IAS), upon his superannuation on September 30.
