ACC approves extension of Roopa Mishra's (IAS) tenure as JS, MoHUA

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to extend the central deputation tenure of Roopa Mishra, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, for a further period of one year. Mishra currently serves as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

The extension will be effective beyond February 2, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This decision underscores the confidence placed in Mishra’s leadership and contributions to the Ministry’s initiatives.

Mishra has been playing a pivotal role in driving key policies and programs under the Ministry, which focuses on the development and management of urban infrastructure and housing across the country. Her extended tenure is expected to provide continuity to ongoing projects and ensure the smooth implementation of government schemes.
