ACC assigns additional charge of Parliamentary Affairs Secretary to Niraj Verma (IAS)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs to Niraj Verma, IAS (AM:1994).

Niraj Verma is a 1994-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on January 2,Verma, who is currently serving as Secretary, Department of Justice under the Ministry of Law & Justice, will hold the additional charge from January 3 to January 29, 2026.

The arrangement has been made during the period of absence on leave of Nikunja Bihari Dhal, IAS (OR:1993), the incumbent Secretary of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
