New Delhi: The Central government has approved the appointment of Ajay Yadav (IAS) as Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya M Scindia. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post at the level of Director for a period up to December 12, 2022, ie, for the balance period of his five-year-long Central deputation tenure. Yadav will continue to hold the post on co-terminus basis with the minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier, said the DoPT.
Ajay Yadav is a 2005-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Bihar cadre.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) is a nodal ministry of the government. It is responsible for the formulation of national policies and programmes for the development and regulation of Civil Aviation and for devising and implementing schemes for the orderly growth and expansion of civil air transport.
